Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Copenhagen 2014
Copenhagen St. Patrick’s Day Parade invites children and adults of all nationalities to participate in the celebration of the Irish national day in Copenhagen.
Green Parade starts at 17.00
The parade took off for the first time on the 17th March 2005, and many cultural groups and associations have since contributed to making the green parade festive. This year, lead by St. Patrick, played by actor Ian Burns, we have the bagpipe band Gordon Pipes and Drums, Bodhran band with the traditional Irish drum, and Dark Green School of Irish Dancing with their Irish dancers. Everyone dressed in something green is welcome to march with us in the green procession through Copenhagen´s streets, and greet the many on-lookers who help make this a festive occasion each year.
The Parade will take off at 17.00 with St. Patrick and finish back at Rådhuspladsen at about 17.40.
