Parade Starts at 1PM at the corner of state street and court street. Mal's St. Paddy's Parade had a modest beginning in 1983 as a half-baked idea of Malcolm White, now Director of the Mississippi Arts Commission and co-owner of Hal & Mal's. The idea was conceived to motivate Jacksonians to embrace and celebrate this wacky, fun-loving rites of spring, vaguely Saint Patrick's Day, Mardi Gras-like third weekend in March occasion and claim it as it's very own.
