The 2013 New Haven Saint Patrick's Day Parade starts at Chapel Street and Sherman Avenue and ends at Grove and Orange Streets and starts at 1:30 PM.
Every March, the city of New Haven is flooded with Irish Pride as 3,500 marchers step into line and
over 300,000 spectators from New England, New York, and beyond come out to embrace the event. To
date, the Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade remains the largest single day spectator event in the State of Connecticut. Additional accolades include, receiving national recognition in the Library of Congress, in a project entitled Local Legacies, which commemorates and celebrates America’s richly diverse culture. Lastly, the New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade proudly boasts that it is the 6th oldest parade in our Nation’s history dating back to the first parade which was held on March 17, 1842.
